O' the holidays are over.

The decorations packed away.

The cheer in the air replaced with cold.

Children in school, no longer at play.

The delicious treats no longer in the oven.

Diets and calorie counting on the menu today.

Counting our pennies and working hard.

I guess I am stuck in those post holiday blues, I have felt bored and uninspired lately. Work and home is about all I get accomplished,  I haven't gotten my camera out for a little while and my baking/cooking has been the bare basics.... not too much new or fun going on in these parts right now..... Trust me though...... I will get my bum in gear!  It is a new year full of possibilities!

Time to relax!

DAY OFF!                            

*I have tommorow off and am so excited I don't know what to do with myself!  Maybe I will relax with a bubble bath and a good book!

The perfect Christmas.......My boys were happy, we all cuddled in our christmas Pj's and Santa Paws came and spoiled Duncan ROTTEN! What more could a I want :0)

A unexpected weekend at home........

Hmph!   Duncan and I had expected to leave the hubby at home(he has to work all weekend)  and travel to my Cousin R's college graduation and a lovely weekend with my family......... complications arose and now we get to spend the weekend at home cuddling and baking and enjoying our weekend before Christmas arrives...... I am very disappointed that I didn't get to watch my little R walk across the stage but if I am stuck at home I guess it could be worse than hanging out with this little cutie and playing all day :0)

Yep Duncan just "HAD" to turn on the blinky light on his collar!

It was love

Duncan's date with Mattie was a fantastic success.....He and Mattie ran and played and shared bones. They were inseparable! I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures of the love birds together but I am sure there will be puppy play dates in the future...... :0) The best part was that they were completely clueless about all the drinks and snacks around so mommy was free to enjoy her spiked eggnog  ;0)  the only embarrasment of the night was that they were TOO friendly if you catch my drift......(at least they are both fixed, opposite gender, and neither objected to the others advances lol )  Anyway...... I would classify this date a success... and the by the time we left it was a blustery windy 17 degrees outside.... I guess it was a good thing Duncan wore a sweater and I wore my cutest warmest boots!

Yesterday evening I went to a girls night/christmas party at my friend K's. Duncan was requested as a special guest and only Male in attendance so that he could meet and play with K's little pup Mattie!  He felt so honored that he spent the whole day resting and dressing up
